Once upon a time.....

Britta Strandberg and her husband Sven, Borlänge, looked for a suitable breed in the beginning of 1980. She wanted a nice dog as companion and to follow her to work. The petit brabançon was perfect. 1985 Britta found Minimos Grace Galant bred by Gull-Britt Fridh, Leksand. In time Grace got three litters.

1987 Griffiaden was registered at the Swedish Kennelclub.

Another bitch were bought. Unfortunately she had very bad hips. Also the male that was ment to be used with her had bad hipdysplasia. This made us think.  

We examine the knees, eyes and hips on our breeding animals. During the years many of our lovely puppieowners has examined their dogs.

1991 griffon bruxellois Sandra (Mindi) moved to Borlänge. She is greatgrandmother to the litter O & P and greatgreatgrandmother to the  Q-, S-, T- och U-litters!  

Johanna Fröderberg bought, then not knowing Britta, Minimos Gay Gigant (Johannes) 1984. It was an easy decision because the well red book of dogs had a petit with irresistible eyes.

Johanna already had cats and birds. Later a golden retriever, Lukas, was bought. 1993 Lukas came to a puppyshow in Borlänge. Suddenly a lot of dogs looking like Johannes were there. Britta was showing the C-litter. "I have one of those at home......". Nearly ten years after birth the brother and sister was reunited.

1996 Johanna became a partner in Griffiadens kennel.  

2010 Lars Gustafsen married Johanna and became master of Morris, Elvis and Jussi.

We only have one or two litters a year of red petit brabancon and griffon bruxellois. We are aiming for healthy, beautiful and happy griffons.
